What is Atlantisite?

Atlantisite is a commercial name for a variety of serpentine which contains particles of purple stichtite as well. This appealing yellowish-green mineral with purple inclusion is mined only at Stichtite Hill, Tasmania. It is usually sold in the form of tumbled stones, cabochons, and beads and is named after the fictional island of Atlantis.

Uses & Applications

Atlantisite is a striking composite of stichtite and serpentine that has great ornamental appeal with its mixture of bright purple and green colors. This is a popular tumbled stone with mineral collectors. Atlantisite is also used in jewelry items like bracelets and beads, and it is set into rings and pendants, usually with silver-colored housings.

Healing Properties

With the combined powers of Serpentine and Stichtite, atlantisite supposedly stimulates a Kundalini awakening, thus cleansing and harmonizing the body from head to toe. Atlantisite is believed to connect with the crown and heart chakras particularly, linking them and enhancing your understanding of your inner thoughts and desires. This stone is said to benefit those suffering from chronic illness, diabetes, and hypoglycemia.
